Summer Day Camps at SkyLine Farm – 2017

SkyLine Farm is proud to offer a variety of summer camp programs to cater to riders of varying skill levels and interests
Each camp includes a morning riding lesson, horsemanship theory, and farm chores.  In the afternoon campers will participate in a variety of fun equestrian activities; riding and/or unmounted lessons depending on the weekly theme.  On Friday afternoon, family is invited to join us for a fun show where campers demonstrate what they have learned over the week.

Summer Camps


These camp packages are suitable for English and western riders.  Small class groups are offered to ensure riders correctly develop their riding skills.   Students are well cared for by our seasoned school horses and ponies.

4-Days:  July 4 - July 7 (Walk/Trot)

5-Days:  July 31 - August 4 (Rider’s Choice)

Cost:

Early Bird prior to May 1, 2017 – 5 Day Camp $375 plus HST/ 4 Day Camp $300 plus HST
After May 1, 2017 - 5 Day Camp $400 plus HST/ 4 Day Camp $325 plus HST

NEW! Equestrian Work Skills School


New, this year, this two week course is designed for horse enthusiats who want to learn and improve their horse care skills.  Participation in this course can be added to your resume and also help students develop an employment reference. Topics include: Barn Management, Horse Handling & Presentation, Equestrian Business Topics and in addition to the theory, through out the course, students will be coached on the importance of a safe work environment as well as time management skills.  This is a non-riding course however, students may enroll in the SLF riding program for mounted instruction not included in this course.

Week 1: July 10 – 14 (Barn Management/Horse Presentation Skills)

Week 2: July 17- 21 (Horse Health/Show Groom Skills/Equestrian Business Topics)

Cost:
Early Bird prior to May 1, 2017 - $400 for Week 1 and 2 plus HST / Week 1 or Week 2 only, $250 plus HST
After May 1, 2017- Add $25 plus HST to registration fee.

Rider’s Choice Camp


Riders have the choice to focus on western, jumping, or dressage skills for this camp session.  Opportunities are also available to try other disciplines.  This is the week to set your goals and work towards your dreams!

5-Days:    July 31- August 4

Cost:

Early Bird prior to May 1, 2017 - $375 plus HST
After May 1, 2017 - $400 plus HST

Adult Mini Camp


This camp is a favourite with our adult riders.  Each morning, riders will work on a dressage test (english or western) suitable for their riding level (Introductory through to Level 2).  In addition to the riding, the program will also include horsemanship theory, hands on horse health topics ride and, we expect, a few good laughs.  One adult mini camps will be offered in 2017.

4 Days: Tuesday June 19 to Friday June 23  

Cost:

Early Bird prior to May 1, 2017 - $300 plus HST
After May 1, 2017 - $325 plus HST
